At GSV, we prioritize data safety and confidentiality highly. In this privacy policy you can read about how we process the personal information we receive when you are a customer at GSV or when you visit and use our web site www.gsv.dk or the GSV app

Categories of personal data and the purpose for processing
All the personal data that we collect, register and process in regards to you are handled for one or more lawful purposes
Visitors to the web site
When visiting our web site, session cookies are registered, including:
- IP address, operating system, referrer URL (the URL that brought you to our sites), geographic information, language setting, browser type, type of equipment, etc.

Inquiries
When you contact us through our web site or via the app, including requests for tenders via the contact form, general contact information is collected, including:
- Name
- Phone number
- Company name and CVR number
- Job title
Being able to respond to your inquiries, including preparing a proposal based on your request that will be subsequently sent to you.
Our lawful interests in being able to respond to inquiries and requests from potential customers and others, cf. article 6, section 1, point f in the General Data Protection Regulation.
Customers
When you rent or buy machinery and equipment from us, we register your customer data consisting of general contact information, including:
- Name
- Phone number
- Company name and CVR number
- Being able to respond to your inquiries including preparing a proposal based on your request that will be subsequently sent to you.
- Being able to contact you
- Being able to handle our obligations referring to your contract and the likes
- Being able to deliver and attend to your order(s)
- Being able to care for our customers
Our lawful interests in being able to contact existing customers concerning attending to and delivering orders and other service/customer care, cf. article 6, section 1, point f in the General Data Protection Regulation
Newsletter subscribers and other registrations
When you, via registration on our web site or registration on fairs or the likes, have subscribed to our newsletter including other relevant information about our products, we register your contact information, for example:
- Name
- Phone number
- Company name & CVR number
- Being able to contact you
- Being able to deliver the services you have requested, including communicating news and other wanted information
Our lawful interests in being able to market ourselves to you/registered subscribers and other interested parties, among other things by communicating news and other relevant information about available products, cf. article 6, section 1, point f in the General Data Protection Regulation.
Job applicants and employees
Information in job applications (e.g. civil registration number*) and CV with potential references, including name, address, e-mail address, phone number, photo, birth date, civil status, former job, education and courses, age, gender, children, LinkedIn profile, identification data about your references, etc.
*GSV won’t ask for your civil registration number or sensitive information, e.g. health details, but if you include this information in an application to GSV, the information will be deleted as soon as possible.

The processing is based on the lawful interests of GSV to choose the right candidates for the employment, cf. article 6, section 1, point f in the General Data Protection Regulation.
Under some circumstances, GSV processes personal data regarding an applicants references. This process will only happen if the job applicant has consented, cf. article 6, section 1, point a in the General Data Protection Regulation.

Initiation and maintenance of technical and organizational security, investigation of suspicion or knowledge of safety violations and reporting to individuals and authorities, processing of inquiries and complaints from registered users and others that need processing to determine, maintain or defend legal requirements, processing of inspections and inquiries from supervising authorities, processing of disputes with registered users and third parties.

We only use your personal data for online marketing purposes when you have given your explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, cf. section 8.
Consequences of not giving us your personal data will be that we can’t make an offer in reference to your inquiries, including offering sale or rental of our equipment and machinery, just as it won’t be possible to communicate news and information about our products.
3. Sources
The personal data is collected directly from you. There can be situations where we have collected for instance your contact information from your employer. In connection to references relating to a job application, the information will be collected from external parties, e.g. former employer – but only if you have consented.
When we collect personal data directly from you, you are giving us your personal data voluntarily.
4. Keeping and deletion
We will keep your personal data for as long as it is necessary to meet the purposes listed above. We can’t determine a retention period, but we store your personal data until the purposes of processing are no longer present.
5. Passing on information
We can share your personal data with a third party if it is necessary to fulfil an order, to use external data processing or services or to comply with legislation.
For example, we can share your data with a cooperating partner in connection to the rental of machinery and equipment, and we can let IT suppliers process the information, including hosting the personal data on our behalf.
We can also use third party services to control the personal data we have received and registered. We do this to make sure that the registered personal data is correct. Our data processers only process personal data on behalf of us and on our instructions.

We won’t share your personal data with countries outside the EU/EEA.
7. Safety
We have high safety standards, also when it comes to protecting your personal data. That is why we have a number of internal procedures and policies to ensure that we are following these safety standards and in that way meet the demands of implementing appropriate technical and organizational safety measures. In that way, we are doing our best to ensure the confidentiality of the personal data of yours that we process
8. Your rights
You have a number of rights when we process your personal data. Among other things, you have the right to:
- Gain knowledge of what personal data we process in relation to you.
- Correct and update your personal data if it is wrong, misleading or incomplete.
- Delete your personal data that we have registered. If you wish to delete your personal data we will delete all the data, unless we can or have to continue the processing on a different basis, for instance if we need to save your data in accordance to other legislation, or the data is necessary to answer an inquiry from you.
The right to object
You have the right to – for reasons concerning your particular situation – object to the processing of your personal data, if the reason for processing are legitimate interests as listed above. Thereafter, we are not allowed to process your personal data, unless we establish strong legitimate reasons for processing that have priority over your interests, rights and civil rights, or if the processing is necessary to determine, maintain or defend legal requirements.
You have the right to object if your personal data is used for direct marketing purposes, including profiling. If you object, we will cease to use your data for that specific purpose.
You also have the right to complain to a competent supervising authority, including the Danish Data Protection Agency, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby
You always have the right to withdraw your consent to the extent that you have given your consent to process your personal data. If you withdraw your consent, the withdrawal will not affect the processing prior to your withdrawal of consent. If you wish to use your rights, you are always welcome to contact us. Our contact information appears in section 1 and 10.
In connection to inquiries regarding your rights, we ask you to please give us enough information to handle your inquiry, including your full name and your e-mail address so we can identify you and answer your request.
9. Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. For example, we change the policy if there are significant changes to the legislation or if new technical solutions, new or improved features to improve the web site or the likes appear.
